Reconstruction of the operating theaters of the Prostějov Hospital

The implementation was completed in 2021

The premises of Pavilion E of the Prostějov Hospital were modified. The building with three floors consists of a monolithic reinforced concrete skeleton, and it houses a surgical and trauma clinics, an emergency room, and operating rooms.

Exactly five operating theaters, including the facilities, were modernized. We particularly changed the technological equipment of the building within the area of 550 m2. Still, there was also a change of materials, modification of the ceilings, lighting of the ORs, and the automatic doors. So that everything meets the requirements for the maximal practicality and cleanliness of the space, for example, the door is automatically sliding for sterile rooms of operating theaters and can be opened with an elbow. We chose antibacterial glass tiles, which will make it easy to eliminate unwanted microorganisms.

The layout of the five ORs has not been changed. However, they are now equipped with new electricity, medical gases, and air conditioning units. At the same time, they were digitized, which will facilitate the provided medical care as well as communication.
